Hello,
I hope that you and your family are well and coping with the challenges that lockdown brings.
Hatfields have been closed now for four weeks - save for dealing with emergencies, breakdowns and the requirements of our key worker customers. It’s time to turn our attention to opening our doors again, safely and responsibly as we recognise that, as time passes, customers will have a heightened need to sort out problems and think about getting cars serviced.
Although garages were permitted to be open by the government, I felt that for my staff and customers, this simply wasn’t the right thing to do. Now that we have all become accustomed to social distancing and the simple routines that keep us safe, we are planning a staged return, to enable us to help our customers.
From Monday 4th May we will open the business with a skeleton service staff to deal with emergency and urgent issues by appointment. If you have an urgent requirement then please email Stuart Baldwin our Service Director (contact details below) who will handle all bookings. From Monday 11th May we hope to be able to open more fully and resume relatively normal service in all departments.
Volvo issued a statement saying that they have extended service due dates by 3 months allowing a maximum of 15 months from the date of the last service in order to maintain the manufacturer’s warranty. If your car is due to have its first service, this has also been extended by an extra 3 months.
As for car sales, we have still been selling cars online and we have delivered a very small number of new and used cars to key workers. We are preparing our sales staff to return to work but this is a secondary priority at this stage. However, if you have a new or used car that is ready to be delivered then please contact our Sales Manager Craig Rushton (contact details below) and we can make plans for this also. |
